Most of us know the importance of self care, but what happens when it feels like a struggle to fit it in? That's where my passion comes in.
Here are four ways to add more passion to your self care routine, and make sure that you're taking care of yourself from the inside out.
1) Make time for yourself each day.
Even if it's just 10-15 minutes, put aside some time each day to do something that you enjoy without stress or obligations hanging over your head.
This can be something as simple as reading your favorite book, taking a walk outside, listening to music, etc.
2) Connect with others who share your interests.
Whether it's through social media, meetups, or other groups offline, surrounding yourself with people who share your passions is a great way to get inspired and stay motivated when it comes to your own self care routine.
3) Try something new.
If you've been wanting to learn a new skill or take up a new hobby, now is the time! Challenging yourself in this way can help bring more excitement and purpose into your life outside of work and parenting responsibilities.
4) Embrace change.
As much as we may sometimes dread it, change is constantly happening whether we like it or not. The sooner we embrace this reality and see change as an opportunity for growth instead of something negative, the better off we'll be both mentally and emotionally.
