What is Neuro Linguistic Programming
N is for Neuro:
The nervous system (the mind) through which our experiences is processed through the 5 senses
1. Visual (see) 2. Auditory (hear) 3. Kinaesthetic (emotions and touch)
4. Olfactory (smell) 5. Gustatory (taste)
L is for Linguistics: Language and other nonverbal communication systems through which our neural representations are coded, ordered and given meaning. Includes
· Pictures· Sounds· Feelings· Tastes· Smells· Words
P is for Programming: The ability to discover and utilise the programs that we run (our communication to ourselves and others) ion our neurological systems to achieve our specific and desired outcomes.
NLP is a model of communication in how we communicate to self and others, how that communication creates & affects our behaviour.In other words, NLP is how to use the language of the mind to consistently achieve our specific & desired outcomes.By using NLP techniques it is possible to change behaviour, habits & thought processes using the language of the mind, to unconsciously achieve specific and desired outcomes in life.

In order to move forward we sometimes have to go backwards, find the lessons to help us gain clarity and confidence in achieving what we want.
The techniques are a process of active imagination where the client imagines floating above their Time Line and letting go of his/her negative emotions and limiting decisions (or limiting beliefs).
Then the client is also asked to imagine creating events in his/her future that support his/her goals or outcomes.
Time Line Therapy ® techniques have demonstrated results in a broad variety of presenting problems.
It is a powerful technique which allows clients to make long-lasting changes in a very rapid way.
